Can I join the TOPCHILD Collaboration?

If your study is a randomised controlled trial with:

  • Participants who are parents/guardians (including pregnant women) and their infant aged 0 to 12 months at baseline

  • An intervention component related to infant/child lifestyle behaviours, that continues beyond pregnancy, and is focussed on prevention

  • At least one child weight-related outcomes measured at the end of the intervention, e.g. BMI z-score, weight, weight status, etc.

When will results be publicly available?

The TOPCHILD Collaboration is currently commencing work on the protocol, after having recently being awarded an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Ideas Grant (Grant No: 1186363). It is anticipated that results will be available by May 2023. Please contact us if you would like to be kept up to date on the TOPCHILD Collaboration.

Where is the TOPCHILD Collaboration based?

The TOPCHILD Collaboration’s data and project management centre is based at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, The University of Sydney, Australia. However, researchers all over the world are involved in the Collaboration.

I am not a trialist, can I receive updates?

Please feel free to contact the TOPCHILD Collaboration for updates, and we will keep you in the loop about major developments, such as results publications. However, unfortunately a subscription newsletter is not available at this time.

How is TOPCHILD funded?

The TOPCHILD Collaboration is funded by an Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grant (Grant No: 1186363).
